The fourth season of the critically acclaimed football drama Ted Lasso has taken a surprising twist. The show’s writers have decided to have their hero coach AFC Richmond’s women’s team, testing whether Ted’s “Lasso way” can work in a very different footballing environment. We’re only three episodes in, but I’ve already found myself wondering if the series will showcase what makes the women’s game distinct, or just treat it as the same sport with different characters.

The early signs are promising: we’ve already seen the issue of substandard facilities, initial disinterest from the club’s fanbase and the flak that Coach Chilton gets for exhibiting the same qualities lauded in the men’s coach, Roy Kent.

My earliest reading memory
The first books I remember were from The Village with Three Corners series Sheila K McCullagh. I loved the – literally – colourful characters, like Johnny Yellow Hat. I was reading with my Grandma, in her garden perhaps, sitting on a small patio, surrounded by bright begonias and busy lizzies.

My favourite book growing up
Arnold Lobel’s wonderful Frog and Toad stories. Toad would get himself tied up in knots, trying to find a button or fly a kite, but Frog was always there – a constant, caring and funny friend. I enjoyed reading these stories to my own children when they were young, and we still sometimes go back and revisit them. They’re so full of humour, heart and simple humanism.

After Emily Thornberry’s call for the government to ban goods from the occupied West Bank (see post at 11:05), Peter Beaumont and Quique Kierszenbaum report on how Israeli settler attacks in areas designated for a future Palestinian state and currently under direct Palestinian control have almost doubled since 2025.

They wrote:

According to a report by the Israeli human rights organisation Yesh Din, shared with the Guardian, data shows that almost two-thirds of incidents of settler violence so far in 2026 have taken place in the so-called Areas A and B – placed under Palestinian Authority governance in the 1995 Oslo accords.

The report, The Next Frontier, Violence by Israeli Civilians in Areas A and B, describes the “rapid shift” in “violence and pressure exerted by the government, military and settlers on Palestinians … from Area C into Areas B and even A”.

Иногда при формировании новых гипотез мы можем столкнуться с подменой понятий идеи, ценности и спроса. В моменте идея может показаться нам настолько классной, что мы объясняем её ценность команде, но пропускаем этап её фактической проверки и сразу приступаем к разработке. 

Давайте разберёмся, как же всё-таки принимать решения с опорой на реальность.

Процесс внедрения ИИ на стройке имеет свою специфику. Дело в том, что здесь есть свои подводные камни при масштабировании обработки видеопотоков, при самом процессе обработки данных и при дополнительном обучении модели YOLO под наши российские реалии. Расскажу обо всём по порядку.

«ИТ-аутсорсинг дешевле» — в этом уверены многие руководители среднего бизнеса. Ошибка в том, что смету партнера сравнивают с зарплатой одного сисадмина за 30–80 тысяч, а не с тем, что реально нужно компании на 100 рабочих мест. Дешевый подрядчик за 35 тысяч в месяц действительно дешевле такого сисадмина, но только до первого инцидента. Одна авария на выходных съедает всю годовую экономию. Ценник зрелого подрядчика в 150 тысяч кажется переплатой, но только до той поры, пока руководитель не посчитает, во что на самом деле обошлось бы ему содержание полноценной ИТ-команды. Ниже — расчет сколько стоит штатная команда для определенного объема задач, сколько стоит зрелый аутсорсинг и чем объясняется разница в цене.

Однажды за один вечер мне пришлось разобрать двенадцать ошибок, и почти все прятались в конфигурации и связях между компонентами. Модель отвечала пустой строкой, хотя в логах не было ни одной явной ошибки. Агент не мог достучаться до Ollama, панель не проходила авторизацию, ключ отклонялся из-за прав доступа, а gateway показывал зелёный статус, но будто не замечал изменений в конфиге.

В этой статье хочу разобрать три случая, сопроводим их реальными репликами агента и выводами команд. Посмотрим, как модель имитирует выполненную работу, почему при переполнении лучше не увеличивать окно, а искать причину по логам, и как скилл по расписанию оказался удобнее панели управления.

Saxophonist and composer Wilmer brilliantly transforms Gil tunes, changing tempos and adding breathy melodies, flourishes of horns or undulating rhythms to luscious effect

Over the past three years, Brazilian saxophonist and composer Gaia Wilmer has reimagined the catalogues of her country’s virtuosos so radically that it’s become a signature art. Folia: The Music of Egberto Gismonti transformed his finger-picked melodics into an almost prog-influenced cacophony; Trem das Cores, celebrating tropicália pioneer Caetano Veloso, found the eerie tenderness in his lilting melodies. Now returning with the first part of a three-volume homage to singer Gilberto Gil, Wilmer and her 20-piece ensemble produce luscious new works from their deconstructions.

For listeners familiar with Gil’s music, hardly any of Wilmer’s arrangements are recognisable from the originals. Her Overture transforms the 25 seconds of strummed guitars and group vocals that open Gil’s 1985 album Dia Dorim Noite Neon into a slowly unfurling four minutes of breathy trumpet melody and twinkling piano accents. Oriente replaces Gil’s wavering, emotive vocal harmony from the 1972 original with flourishes of horn fanfares and jazz swing that bolsters singer Mônica Salmaso’s lightly tripping bossa nova vocalisations. Eu Vim da Bahia even slows one of Gil’s best-known tunes to experimental flute-heavy ambience, transmuting his sprightly melody through the brassy weight of a big-band horn section.

Привет, Хабр! На связи Даша Косова, я продакт менеджер Рег.облака. Ситуация: на сервере закончилось место. Вы увеличиваете диск, выдыхаете, а через какое-то время все повторяется. Потом приходит время переносить сервер, и вместе с ним переезжают все накопленные файлы. Перенос растягивается на выходные, а трогать эту машину лишний раз уже никому не хочется. Место на диске к этому моменту далеко не единственная проблема.

Почти все проекты начинают одинаково: один сервер, локальный диск, минимум сервисов. И это правильный старт. Усложнять архитектуру заранее — значит платить деньгами и временем поддержки за то, что пока не нужно. Проблемы приходят позже, когда пользователей, данных и сервисов становится больше, а хранение остается таким же, каким было в первый день.

Дальше разберу на примере условной онлайн-школы, как меняются требования к хранению по мере роста проекта и в какой момент стоит посмотреть в сторону сетевых дисков.
