Meeting of 32 member states comes at crucial time for alliance after tensions with US over Iran and Greenland

Nato leaders will gather in Ankara on Tuesday after a turbulent six months, hoping – in the case of the other 31 members of the alliance – to mollify an unpredictable Donald Trump, as Washington continues to pressure its allies to increase defence spending.

On Monday, Mark Rutte, Nato’s secretary general, called for the allies to present “clear, concrete and credible plans” to reach the organisation’s spending targets. “President Trump fully expects that all allies will step up immediately and get on the path to 5% and do it with urgency,” he said.

В этой статье хочу поговорить о вещи, которую часто недооценивают на старте проектов — юзабилити-аудите сайта. Но не в классическом понимании «проверили интерфейс и нашли неудобные кнопки», а глубже: когда мы смотрим на сайт как на часть системы, где интерфейс — это только верхний слой.

На практике часто выглядит так: дизайн согласован, формы отправляются, интерфейс аккуратный. Но дальше начинаются проблемы — заявки не доходят, данные теряются, поддержка перегружена, а бизнес говорит «сайт не работает», хотя снаружи всё выглядит нормально.

Разберем, где в таких случаях заканчивается UX и начинается архитектура, интеграции и данные. И почему юзабилити-аудит без технического слоя сегодня почти всегда дает искаженный результат.

За свой трудовой путь я несколько раз говорил бизнесу «нет». Каждый раз это было неприятно, потому что бизнес приходит к ИТ не за отказами, а за решениями. Но был один случай, когда именно отказ оказался самым выгодным решением для компании. И о нем я сейчас хочу рассказать.

Жизненный кейс

Близился конец проекта, мы уже практически завершили внедрение нового биллинга. Бюджет был распределен, а команды готовились к запуску. Казалось, самое сложное позади. И в этот момент бизнес пришел с новым требованием: «Давайте еще перенесем архивные продукты и исторические данные по ним». Архивные продукты использовались редко, но время от времени сотрудники обращались к ним для разбора спорных ситуаций с клиентами. Поэтому пожелание бизнеса выглядело логичным. При этом было изначально принято решение, что компания не избавляется полностью от legacy биллинга, а использует его для чтения ретроданных.

Мы вместе с архитекторами и аналитиками оценили объем работ. Оказалось, что типового механизма нет, нужно менять архитектуру. Разрабатывать новые сценарии миграции, тестировать, поддерживать. Когда сложили оценки, получилось около 10 миллионов рублей. После пересчета финансовой модели стало понятно, что дополнительные инвестиции сильно увеличивают срок окупаемости проекта (+1 год). Проще говоря, компания вкладывала деньги в функциональность, которая не приносила измеримой бизнес-ценности. Мои мысли в тот момент: «Если мы согласимся на это сейчас, проект никогда не закончится».

Я принял решение отказать бизнесу в новых требованиях и предложил альтернативный вариант – не мигрировать запрошенные данные, а оставить их в legacy биллинге доступными для чтения.

With a country on the verge of falling in love with this team, and tens of millions eager for a reason to embrace the glory and pride this sport can provide, there were instead questions of fairness and propriety. A star striker, who made an honest, unintentional mistake – and said and did all the right things – became a talking point. And a day later, on an otherwise beautiful Monday evening in the Pacific north-west, the United States’ World Cup dream ended with a thud.
