Part of me hoped that, like a teacher, she would make the individual in question read their texts out to the rest of the theatre.

When reporters talk about protecting their sources, it isn’t always about protecting a source’s identity. Some sources are prepared to go public. Others may have already shed their anonymity before a journalist gets in touch with them. But they all still need to be supported and safeguarded as their stories are brought to light.

“I try to ensure there are no surprises for them,” says Harry Davies, a Guardian investigations correspondent. “You have to prepare them for the exposure and talk them through what it will mean.”

Yemen’s Tehran-aligned Houthis have claimed responsibility for an attack on a refinery in Saudi Arabia, two days after the kingdom signed ⁠a defence pact with Turkey ⁠and Pakistan in response to ​growing regional instability caused by the US-Israel war on Iran.

The attack early on Sunday came after Iran said tough new demands would have to be met before it would reopen the strait of Hormuz, and after the United Arab Emirates said one of its ships had been targeted by an Iranian missile, as a deal to open the waterway remained out of reach.

Проблема не в том, что я чего-то из этого «не знаю». Невозможно держать все эти области в голове одновременно и при этом в одиночку делать продукт целиком. Контекст-свитчинг стоит дорого сам по себе.

AI помогает. И примерно здесь у всех начинается один и тот же спор: Claude или Codex? Кто лучше пишет код, за какую подписку платить.

Обе модели у меня и так стоят локально. Выбор между ними — это на самом деле выбор, кому из двоих доверить всю работу целиком: и разбор задачи, и архитектуру, и реализацию, и проверку себя самого. А это худшая конфигурация, кто бы её ни выполнял:

задача → нейросеть сама придумала → сама написала → сама себя проверила → сказала, что всё готово

Один исполнитель, который одновременно заказчик, архитектор, разработчик и ревьюер. В командной разработке так не работает, и с моделями тоже.

Поэтому я перестал выбирать и развёл роли: Claude принимает решения. Codex реализует. Claude независимо проверяет результат.

Это дало три вещи, а не одну:

Though Anne Willan references prune and apple three-tier galette pies from the Pyrenees in her 1981 classic French Regional Cooking, and David includes a yeasted version that sounds more like a cobbler in French Provincial Cooking, most fruit galette recipes I find seem to be American. My hunch is that Alice Waters’ tradition of a daily seasonal galette at Chez Panisse may have popularised the name across the pond, but the general idea never needed upselling. As a quick and easy way to turn a punnet of fruit into a dessert, it’s hard to beat, whatever you call it.

The Israeli military “will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed and will continue to thwart threats against our forces and our citizens,” Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting.

A Houthi drone salvo targeted a Saudi oil refinery on the Red Sea coast. The Iran'-backed group’s military spokesman Yahya Saree said the Houthis had “succeeded in targeting the Aramco refinery in Jazan on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast with a drone”.

Attacks by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen killed at least four troops from the internationally-recognised government forces and injured 20 more personnel, two military sources said. The initial toll came from strikes on the Yemeni city of Mokha and surrounding areas, as well as Khokha, south of the port city of Hodeida, the sources said on condition of anonymity, after the Houthis announced they had targeted military forces and equipment on the Red Sea coast.

Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian met the country’s supreme ⁠leader Mojtaba Khamenei around the start of the president’s third year in office in late July, state ⁠media said, ⁠and ​a paramilitary leader promised footage of Khamenei in the future. Khamenei was reportedly seriously injured in the ​February strike that killed his father and predecessor, Ali Khamenei on the first day of the US-Israeli war on Iran. The promise to release footage of the leader by paramilitary Basij ⁠Organisation deputy Qasem Qoraishi appeared to be aimed ​at quashing speculation about his health.
